Editorial Team for PPW’s Third Anthology

Deborah Brewer

Deborah Brewer, Editor, enjoys collaborating with PPW’s anthology authors, immersing herself in their stories and poems, and offering thoughtful editorial advice to make their work shine for publication. In editing, as in writing, there’s always something new and interesting to learn.
Deborah holds a BA in Liberal Studies and was an editor for the PPW 2022 anthology, Dream. She also contributes to Writing from the Peak to help PPW members write better with more enjoyment, and ultimately, achieve their writing dreams. Deborah lives in Colorado.

Jenny Kate, Marketing Director and Editor, is the founder of Writer Nation, an online space dedicated to helping writers market their work. Project Manager, Kathie Scrimgeour

Kathie Scrimgeour, Project Manager and Editor, writes under the pseudonym KJ Scrim. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors with PPW, she is also the Managing Editor of Writing from the Peak (PPW’s blog) and the Project Manager of PPW’s anthologies, Fresh Starts and Dream. Her inspiration for blogging, flash fiction, short stories, and the long haul of novel writing comes from her many life experiences. Ed Raetz, Senior Editor, was born and raised in Colorado Springs, with stints in Germany, Boulder, and California. He graduated from CU Boulder (BA-English) and CSUSB (MA-Composition/Rhetoric). His Master’s Thesis was a psychoanalytic exploration of Lloyd Alexander’s Prydain Chronicles. His writing is inspired by ancient myth and archetype, folklore, faerie, mycology, and bizarre natural phenomena. He loves world travel, surrealistic art, horror movies, music, and dark humor. He has dabbled in various vocations, including: college instructor, Postdoctoral lab researcher, and stay-at-home dad. He served on the PPW Board of Directors (2018-2020) and has published several Plant Pathology journal articles. He has been married to Carina since 1994 and is the proud father of 15-year old son, Rowan. Finally, Ed is an aspiring master potter and has exhibited his artistry at the Fine Arts Center.

Lou J Berger, Editor lives in Centennial, Colorado. His short stories have appeared in Galaxy’s Edge magazine, Daily Science Fiction, several anthologies, and recently he was awarded Finalist in the Writers of the Future contest.

Editor, Jaime Ferguson

Jamie Ferguson, Editor, has edited over a dozen anthologies and is working on many more, including a monster-themed anthology series she’s coediting with DeAnna Knippling. In her fiction, Jamie focuses on getting into the minds and hearts of her characters, whether she’s writing about a saloon girl in the Old West, a man who discovers the barista he’s in with as a naiad, or a ghost who haunts the house she was killed in – even though that house no longer exists.

Jamie lives in Colorado and spends her free time in a futile quest to wear out her two border collies, since she hasn’t given in and gotten them their own herd of sheep. Yet.
