Claire McKinney is the founder and CEO of Claire McKinneyPR, LLC and Plum Bay Publishing, LLC. She also authored the book Do You Know What A Book Publicist Does? A Guide for Creating Your Own Campaigns. For thirteen years, Claire worked in New York City’s traditional publishing houses, including Little, Brown and Company; Henry Holt & Company; Bloomsbury; Hyperion Books for Children; Miramax; and Putnam. When she left the corporate world to start her PR business in 2019, she was the VP/Director of Publicity at Henry Holt.
