Dr. Crowder has 30+ years of experience in aerospace systems which includes 25 years in research and development of artificial intelligence applications; delivering his first Neural Network system in 1995 and his first fuzzy system in 1993. Dr. Crowder holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering in Chaos Theory, an MS in Applied Math in Probability Theory, an MS in Electrical Engineering in Signal Processing and a BS in Electrical Engineering. He published his first technical paper in 1988 and has over 120 journal and conference publications. In 1989 he published his first poem and has 8 poetry books available on Amazon. He has published 5 technical books in artificial intelligence and systems engineering with his daughter, Dr. Shelli Friess. His current employer is Colorado Engineering Inc. where he is a systems fellow and devotes his time to advanced artificial intelligence research. His work has been written up in Popular Science and he’s been interviewed as part of the Consciousness Podcast. A prolific writer, Dr. Crowder is currently starting his newest project, a series of three science fiction books about artificial intelligence and robots titled 1) When Robots Hug, 2) When Robots Cry, 3) When Robots Sing.
