You’ve got a product and you want to market it. Where do you start? Should you create a Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter presence and be done with it? Sure, social media is a great marketing tool, but they are not a replacement for a product website. If you want to be successful, you will need to invest a little more effort in presenting your product (you) to the world – your own website is one of the best tools for that purpose.
In this presentation we will answer the following questions and much more: How do I get a website? What does branding have to do with anything? How much will it cost me? Who builds it? What is a hosting space? What is domain registration? What happens if I forget to renew my domain? What do the extensions, like .com or .org mean? What about e-mail? Where do I begin?
BIO: Sharon Manislovich has a broad background in the technology field – teaching, constructing, and supporting website applications and infrastructure for over 25 years. She is currently working as a Web Systems Administrator, supporting over 150 websites and 55 servers.
Sharon has taught computer software courses for Delaware Technical & Community College, UCCS Adult Education, Colorado Springs IBEW, PPLD, New Horizons Computer Learning Centers, and an assortment of private corporations.
