So you want to write a novel? This 3-week course is for fiction writers who want to improve their prose. The course is designed to help avoid pitfalls that many first-time and newer writers experience, and to emphasize tips to improve writing skills: how to show not tell, use strong, engaging language, make each scene count, and more. Come prepared to participate in writing exercises.

Liz Colter is a winner of the 2014 international Writers of the Future contest and her short stories have appeared in over two dozen science fiction and fantasy magazines and anthologies. Her debut novel, A Borrowed Hell (written as L. D. Colter) was published earlier this year by Shirtsleeve Press.
